FAQ
If you do not find an answer to your advising question below, please email your advisor (found on MySSU) or kinesiology@sonoma.edu.
First, check that anatomy and physiology appear on your transfer credit report. If you see the courses on the transfer credit report, contact your KIN advisor (listed on mySSU) and ask them to complete an ARR Update Form.
Once you complete the class at the JC and it appears on your transfer credit report, then you will be able to register for those classes, if seats are available.
The Psychology Department gives us a limited number of seats in each course. Watch your email for a Google form that you need to complete to put your name in a drawing to receive one of the available seats. If you don’t get a seat, your options are:
- Both courses are also taught during Summer Intersession, and the instructors will allow KIN students to add.
- Take the course at a JC.
The KIN Department can only issue permission numbers for KIN classes. If you need permission for a class in a different department, contact that department’s Administrative Coordinator (AC) to request a permission number. You can find AC email addresses on department home pages.
SSU determines your class standing by your total units at the beginning of the current semester. So if you started Spring with 86 units and took 16 units, you’d have 102. However, when you enroll, Peoplesoft treats you like a junior with only 86 units.
