We offer a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology. All kinesiology majors take a set of core courses along with specific courses for their concentration. To best meet student interests and goals, the department offers three concentrations: Exercise Science/pre-PT, Interdisciplinary/pre-OT, and Lifetime Physical Activity.
Exercise Science/pre-Physical Therapy Concentration
Prepares students for admission to Doctor of Physical Therapy and Masters of Athletic Training programs; graduate study in exercise science or physiology; allied-health professional programs in chiropractic science or physician’s assistant; and certification in strength and conditioning.
Interdisciplinary/pre-Occupational Therapy Concentration
Prepares students for admission to Doctor of Occupational Therapy programs.
Lifetime Physical Activity Concentration
Prepares students for careers in coaching (health and wellness, athletics), exercise and wellness programming, and corporate fitness; graduate study in kinesiology, sports management, and physical education/adapted physical education; and certification in personal training and athletics coaching.
