Katie Barnes, ESPN senior writer and author of Fair Play: How Sports Shape the Gender Debates, examines the evolving landscape of trans athlete participation and the policy debates shaping sports. As legal and political challenges, including recent actions involving the CSU system, bring these issues to the forefront, this talk explores how media narratives, governance, and lived experiences intersect. Part of the Sport & Social Justice Lecture Series, this event invites students and faculty into a timely and critical conversation about equity and inclusion in sport.
