Confidential Advocate

Kellie Douglas - Confidential Advocate

The Victim's Advocate provides confidential advocacy support, victim outreach, coordination of support services, problem-solving, and assistance with decision-making to SSU students who are impacted or victimized by traumatic, disruptive, or disturbing life events (i.e., sexual assault, intimate partner violence, stalking, abusive relationships, hate crimes, etc.

The mission of Counseling & Psychological Services is to serve the mental health needs of the campus community through offering counseling, consultation, training, and outreach.

The HUB

Sonoma State University is proud to have The HUB which serves as a center for diversity and leadership.  The HUB stands for honoring the past, uniting the present, and building for the future. The HUB is located on the 2nd floor of Student Center, directly across from the Student Activities desk - look for our sign with the mandala logo on it!

SSU McNair Scholars

The McNair Scholars Program at SSU helps 27 undergraduate students per year prepare for and get accepted into graduate school. The primary objective of this program is to place more historically underrepresented students in Masters and PhD programs.

Title IX Rights & Reporting

The Office for the Prevention of Harassment & Discrimination is available to answer questions and discuss concerns that our campus community may have. While the Sonoma County Shelter in Place order is still in effect, we continue to operate on a remote basis and remain available during usual business hours. Queer Student Alliance

The Queer Student Alliance is a safe place for queer students to find support from each other at the university. As a club, we promote acceptance throughout Sonoma State via events focused around the LGBTQ+ community.

SSU Black Student Union

BSU is a club at Sonoma State University and was founded on campus in 1987. The BSU is a student club that provides a community and supports black students with their experience on Sonoma State’s campus. The club also plans events and activities surrounding the culture.
